FAQ

Our dear customer,

You are welcome on our website. We hope you will like our automatic stations. These stations have a technology level being unique in Hungary.
In spite of other petrol stations here you can decide how much to refuel focusing on the money and not the litre, having recognised the fact that a number of our customers wishes to refuel for a certain amount only.
Our goal is to furnish our customers with best priced fuels.  Herebelow we answer some frequently asked questions we come across regarding the use of our stations:
Why have I gotten two SMS from my bank as my banking account has been charged twice?
The first SMS confirms that the amount you have chosen has been blocked by the bank. The second SMS refers to the value of the purchase actually made with which your account is going to be charged. The two amounts will not be set off.
Why does not the OPT give back the change?
The OPT is money centered but is not equipped with money changer. If you put in more cash than you have tanked for,  the terminal gives you a repurchase code which you are entitled to use in 60 days on the very station you made the purchase.
What to do if no confirmation came that blocked money is released?
Please contact the bank that issued your card, it is only them who can advise you on the basis of the credit card contract the bank has with you.
Can I use my client  code at every ENVI station?
Yes, you can use the same client code at each of our stations.
Can I use the repurchase voucher at every ENVI station?
For the time being you can use the voucher only at the station where it was issued, but shortly you'll be able to do that in everywhere in our network. With that regard please follow news on our website.
Why is there no locking device on the fuel dispenser to hold nozzle lever operator in open position?
It is complying with  fire protection regulations as this is an unmanned automatic refuelling station. Should any danger occur, there is no one who could interfere, so there must not be such locking device applicable.
Why does the dispenser slow down by the end of the refuelling?
As the system is money centered, i.e. you fix the value you wish to refuel for, the automatics will slow down the speed of the dispensation at an amount 100-200 Ft left to reach the particular amount so that to make the refuelling stop exactly at the amount you wish to purchase fuel for.
Are METRO cards further required to purchase fuel at discounted prices?
At our stations one does not need a METRO card, as one can refuel at the prices below the prices referred to for “METRO card holders”.
How can I ask for assistance at ENVI stations?
Do not hesitate to contact our round the clock operator desk (marked by piktograms and arrows) which will be at your disposal.
Guidelines as to how to refuel with credit cards:
Automatic filling stations like those of Envikut Kft. and generally of other domestic or foreign companies are operated the following way:
Customer fixes the amount the refueling will be made for. The decision will be made on the basis of the car's tank capacity and/or the amount of funds available on the credit card.
In case of automatic stations the filling up of the car is an irreversible process, so the station operator should make sure before the refuelling to start that the credit card holder has enough funds in his/her card/account. However, it is not enough to get assured that there is sufficient cover as the funds should also be blocked on the credit card/account of the card holder as the card balance can be reduced by other factors like simultaneous purchase made by the card's co-holder.
To make sure this the bank performing the settling (which is in our case the OTP bank)  will check the cover of the credit card with regard to the particular amount of the purchase and as a result of this the amount selected by the card holder will get blocked (but in no way charged!!!) on the card. It is essential to note that the blocking is made by the bank-issuer  on the card of the holder.
If the card holder happens to have no enough funds on his/her card, the refuelling request will be denied and the customer can not start the refuelling. Sure, the customer can try it again with a smaller amount.
If the cover on the card is available, the card holder can start refuelling. Upon having tanked for the whole amount a message is sent to the bank issuing the card with the request to debit the card with the full particular amount blocked previously. As a result the card holder's card will be charged with the full amount blocked. This debit, too, will be executed by the bank issuing the card.
Unless the tank capacity of the vehicle is sufficient to take up the whole fuel worth of the amount blocked, the final value of the transaction will be less than the amount blocked previously and the card will be debited with this particular minor amount.
As to the difference between the amounts blocked and the one the card was debited with, the system will initiate a correction transaction which then will be transmitted by the settling bank (in our case the OTP bank) to the bank issuing the card who then will finalize the amount the card should be charged with. Different cards will handle such correction transactions in a different manner:
If the issuing bank is OTP, the difference will immediately be discharged, increasing thus the card holder's balance freely available for spending.
If the transaction has been perfomed with a card Visa or MasterCard issued by another bank, the OTP bank transmits the transaction immediately online via Visa or MasterCard corporation to the issuing bank who in its turn in compliance with its administration practice manages the final amount of the transaction to be charged (immediately or in the daily processing time) as well as of the difference between the amount originally blocked and the final one to be discharged. After the issuing bank has acted like that the card holder's balance freely available for spending will be increased by the amount discharged.
Let us stress please that it is beyond Envikut Kft.'s capability to influence the above process. OTP bank is able to influence only transactions efficiently in case of transactions completed with card it issued, otherwise it will simply follow the rules of the card issuers. When it comes to transactions performed not with card issued by OTP , the actual financial operations (blocking, debiting with the final amount, discharge of the difference) are all perfomed by the issuing bank.
May we note that should any claims, objections whatever occur with the card holder, he/she has to lodge them to the issuing bank in accordance with the credit card use regulations, as it is the issuing bank that manages his/her account having most of and the latest information, hence this bank can take the most efficient measures. The issuing bank must launch the claim procedure on the basis of the card holder's claim.  Just as an example to mention, if a similar case occurs to a Hungarian card holder at a foreign petrol station, he/she has to place the claim not with the foreign petrol company but with his/her own bank.
